Free Skills Development Programme for creative graduates from Yorkshire universities, including one-to-one mentoring
Are you a creative graduate from any Yorkshire University? Do you run a creative business that has been in existence for less than 3 years? Ever considered working with an experienced mentor? Need support with key issues such as Marketing, Finance, Legal and Governance? If so, then we have the course for you.
York St John University, in partnership with Cida Co, offers an extraordinary opportunity for creative graduates, both past and present, from any Yorkshire University. We will be offering a free skills development programme for artists and creative entrepreneurs, including one-to-one mentoring for participants. The programme aims to help you understand fundamental principles that will enable you to confidently run a successful creative business.
This uniquely designed programme by Cida Co takes place over 5 months and covers six modules on the key issues facing a creative business/sole trader. Each of the six workshops is followed by a one-to-one mentoring session of approximately an hour and a half each, pairing every participant with a specially trained Cida Co mentor who brings relevant, sector specific knowledge skills and networks to the role of mentor.
The programme will take place in 2012, starting with a course induction on Thursday, 1st March from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The workshops will run from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on the following dates:
- Tuesday 13th March
- Tuesday 3rd April
- Tuesday 24th April
- Tuesday 15th May
- Tuesday 12th June
- Tuesday 3rd July
Cida Co tutors include Anamaria Wills, Keith Evans, Keith Arrowsmith, solicitor and IP specialist, Chantelle Brandon Reeves and Val Monti Holland.
