Lever Prize open for applicants
Arts organisations in the north-west of England are being invited to apply for the Lever Prize 2010.

The award is managed by the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) and is supported by Arts & Business Northwest.

Now in its fifth year, the award offers winners a cash boost of £10,000 that brings arts organisations together with business leaders and allows for better working relationships between the two parties.

Geoffrey Piper, Chief Executive of NWBLT, said: 'The Lever Prize is all about encouraging, acknowledging and celebrating exemplary partnerships between business and the arts - as well as giving recognition to the fantastic arts organisations in our region.'

He added: 'Our mission is to establish the north-west as a bright, contemporary place for art and culture to develop and that can be achieved best through collaboration with business.'

The closing date for applications, which can be made online, is June 30th.
