Charlotte Vincent is the Artistic Director of Vincent Dance Theatre (VDT). Charlotte performed with VDT until 2002, and has directed and designed the company’s work since 2005.
Charlotte teaches extensively at higher education and professional level in universities, colleges, venues and dance agencies across the UK and abroad. She regularly mentors emerging artists in the UK as well as nurturing younger practitioners who join VDT as performers.
Charlotte is committed to raising the profile of female led arts practice through writing and lecturing, and is regularly asked by leading UK dance bodies and Arts Council England to contribute to discussions around the future of dance practice. She leads all VDT’s research projects and is committed to furthering notions of what dance theatre can be in the contemporary context.
