Alexis Zegerman is an actress and writer working across, theatre, TV, film and radio.
As an actress she is probably best known for playing Zoe in Mike Leigh's 'Happy-Go-Lucky', for which she won a British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was Pearson writer-in-residence at Hampstead Theatre, where her play 'Lucky Seven' premiered. She has written numerous plays and series for radio, and is currently writing her first feature film for BBC Films.
Her most recent play The Steingolds was nominated for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
